Electric Scooters are an increasingly popular toy for kids and alternate mode of transportation for adults. The biggest advantage of electric scooters is the clean , quiet and simple operation, but are typically less powerful and travel shorter distances than comparable gas scooters.
Smaller scooters with lower power output (100W-350W) are great toys for children who wear proper safety gear and are responsible enough to know how and where to operate their scooter. Electric scooters are simple, so you don’t have to know how to adjust your carburetor like you would with a gas scooter, and they are also quiet so your neighbors won’t complain. One downside of electric scooters for kids is the battery will always run out of juice before the kid does.
Many adults who live within a short distance of where they work are using the more powerful electric scooters (400W+) to commute to work. Often times you are allowed to bring electric scooters on a bus or subway. Other adults like having an environmentally friendly alternative way to go short distances around their home like the supermarket.
