Default oil change

For a whole "how to" demonstration, try the scootdawg forum. Great place to see a ton of information and talk to other scooterists.

Also, here's a video on how to do it:

Default Lance GS-R 150

I have a little over 600 miles on my Lance GS-R 150 and it has been great! I am planning on my 2nd oil change tomorrow and I had done one at 200 miles. I was glad someone posted the video as I could check to make sure I was doing it right! I didn't check all the bolts when I first got it and I did blow the muffler gasket at 400 miles. I got one made for the Tank brand and it is working great with that one on there. I love only paying $5 for gas a week compared to $35 for my commute. I even managed to get $70 worth of groceries in the trunk, under the seat and in a backpack. I have heard bad things about the Vintage 150, but all good about the GS-R 150. I am glad I opted for the sportier model!

This Is A Very Bad Bike

I have owned my Lance GSR 150 for a year and three months now. The first 8 months were great. After that, it became one problem after another. These are very bad bikes like most Chinese bikes. I would recommend anyone out there who reads this to steer clear. I wasted $1,400 on mine and I've put more money keeping it running. There are a lot of issues with this bike, mostly that it simply can't handle daily commuting. I have 2,500 miles on it and I'm not putting another dime into it after I get it out of the shop this time. Look at other bikes or you will be sorry a year or so from now. I would recommend the Japanese brands but that's only a personal choice.

Thumbs down Lance GSR 150

I have to agree with the last post,

I bought my Lance GSR 150 about 3 weeks ago and I barely managed to put 250 miles on this bike, the bike so far broke on me 4 times for various reasons, first both screws from the exhaust pipe manifold simply fell off after 100 miles I noticed the engine pitch changed! So I had to take it in and waited one week to get it fixed, second time it just dyed on me in the middle of traffic, I pulled over after messing with it for 1 hour I finally discovers the spark plug cap had just came loose, third time I noticed a major rattling nose coming from the rear break so I decided to take it back to the shop and have it checked! In a crazy twist of irony the bike dyed two blocks away from the shop for unknown reason ( my guess is some electrical issue) battery was completely drained and even using the kick starter didn’t help.
Now I was told it will take 2 weeks before I can get it back.
That’s it for me I am getting ride of this cheap pile of junk and pay a little extra for quality Italian Vespa.

Reliability: 0
Workmanship: 0
Quality: 0
Price: affordable but a total waste of money

Stay away from Lance products.

Go to Lance Powersports and click on contact fill out all the information with your 17 digit Vin verification and they will get back with you in a couple of days. This is what I did, and they were able to help me even tho I bought on line.

Default Lance has good customer service

Like the post above recommended I contacted Lance with my ongoing scooter problem with my GSR. They don't mess around. They really stand by their product and went above and beyond to fix my problem and make sure I was happy. There's a 1 year warranty so the dodo above spent money for no reason. Contact Lance, they're great! Yeah, the scooters are from China but that's why we can afford them. They might break, mechanical things do, but it's what Lance does to back up their product that makes a difference.

That was me above, I just wanted to update. We just upgrade to the new Cali Classic from Lance. If you're leary of Chinese bikes, you've gotta check this one out. It's from Taiwan, and a higher quality product. This thing purrrrrs. I've learned that as long as you do the scheduled maintenance, keep records of it, and stay in contact with your dealer and or Lance, then they will do everything they can to take care of you.

Default Lance GSR-150

I was very skeptical when I read so many reviews giving the Lance GSR-150 a bad rap but compared to a Honda's price it was a steal. So I mentally prepared myself for a lesson in scooter mechanics. I am by no means a gearhead but I do have slightly above average mechanical skills.
My Lance has been really good to me. I am pushing 4000 miles with only 2 minor issues in 2 years. Besides regular maintenance, I had a speedometer cable that wasn't functioning (week 1) turns out the gears were not touching and the second minor issue was a rattling muffler that was resolved with a substitute replacement roller weight in place of the vibration bushing and a new muffler gasket. I would give my scooter a 9.5+ for comparison purposes.

The oil has been changed at 200, 400, 600 miles and will change at 800, and at 1,000 miles than every 1,000 miles after that I use 91 octane fuel all the time and also use seafoam too.
I can be reached at email address bluedevilofco@hotmail.com or call my cell 701-200-6756 thanks for any help in advance..
