We have a Lance GSR 150 moped that we purchased last year and we didn't use it during the winter and now it won't start. It was garaged all winter and we charged the battery and it just doesn't start. We took the spark plug out and cleaned it and put it back and it still won't start. It doesn't seem to have any arc or fire to the plug. We tried to start it manually and it wouldn't start. It has gas in it. It probably doesn't have 100 miles on it.
Does anyone know what is wrong with it? Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced? Maybe the spark plug wire? cylinder? I can't seem to get in touch with Lance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

had the same problem - the scooter didn't start - took it to the bike shop and they fixed it immediately, said there was a problem with the spark plug but also talked me into spending another $125 for service... 3 weeks later i'm in the middle of traffic turning left and the scooter just dies on me - i cannot even get it to flash the lights, there's no electricity going. so i checked the fuse - it was blown. replaced the fuse. it still wouldn't run. called my service guy and he recommended 1) checking the battery 2) checking the killswitch (that was exactly my problem! apparently, when signalling the left turn i accidentally pushed the killswitch button and it killed the engine along with the fuse) 3) try starting it by not only pressing the left brake lever, but also the right brake lever. so once i released the killswich the scooter began to run joyfully. that didn't last too long though. the problem i have now the fuses get burned very quickly - i've gone through 3 in 3 days which didn't happen before. so, this is my story - now i'm trying to figure out what the hell is happening to the fuse every time.
