I bought a Milan about 2 months ago. It has been running fine 400+ miles so far. The light you asked about started flashing one night as I was riding, I pulled over and checked my cell, sure enough I had a missed call. When I got home I had the wife call me back while I was setting on the drive, scoot running and sure enough it started flashing. There is no conection as far as bluetooth or anything it just seems to pick up any close cell activity. I have tried it with other peoples cells and if they are withen about ten feet of it it will flash. Chances are you may have been near a car or someone on the street using thier cellular. At any rate good luck, ride safe. Dog.

I own a Flyscooter "La Vie" almost identical to the Milan. That red "phone" light is the oil light. It indicates a loss of oil pressure. Flickering once may not mean much but if it flickers a lot, get your mechanic involved. At least check the oil level

The LaVie owner is wrong: it is NOT an oil light, it's a cell phone indicator. In all my years owning scooters and watching all the forums, I've NEVER heard of a scooter with an oil light! There isn't a GY6 engine made that has any kind of oil level sensor coming from the crankcase.
So don't start panicking about running out of oil! Every scooter owner should be manually checking the oil level once a week in any case. The flickering light is just picking up stray electrical signals, sometimes they are cell phone signals, sometimes not. |
