I purchased a Lance Phoenix 150 in July 08. I have enjoyed it the whole time so far. I have a friend that got a Lance GSR 150 at the same time and he has had nothing but trouble.

I had to experiment on how to change the transmission fluid, but got it. I change oil and trans at even 1,000 miles. I have a service contract with a store and have them service it at break in and 3,000 mi. I have 4,500 mi on it now, Jan 09. I am in a mountainous area, and it chugs up a long grade at 45 - 50 mph. I took my wife for a 100 mi round trip and it worked great. I hear and read about bad experiences with these and other Chinese scooters, but my experience has been good.

I got it when Diesel for my truck was $5.25/ gal, and I was saving about $0.20 per mile I drove the scooter instead of my truck. It's half that now.

Figuring depreciation, it'll pay for itself in a year.
