Default Lance Vintage 150 Customer Reviews

A word of warning. I bought a Lance Vintage 150 from Scooters Factory last year, and it was not a good experience. They still have never replied to my numerous inquiries regarding problems with the scooter. It arrived and looked ok visually, but there were a number of hidden problems including a bent front end, a broken turn signal, and front brakes that are utterly worthless.

It runs, and I am riding it, but I have to have the bars cocked significantly to one side to go in a straight line. And the brakes, well...lets say I have to plan ahead.

If you've ridden a yamaha, vespa, or kymco, etc...don't expect this scooter to be anywhere close to the same quality. Idle is rough, vibrations and noises all over the place, cheap plastic parts, suspension creaks and groans. Overall you really get what you pay for...or less. For my money, I will buy a used Vino 125 as soon as I can find someone to buy thing from me.

Smile Lance vintage

I purchased 2 of these and am very happy with what you get for the money. I also own a 2008 Yamaha Vino 125. The Vino cost me almost 3000 dollars out the door. I would rather have 2 Lance Vintage 150 scooters than the one Yamaha Vino. Don't get me wrong I think the Vino is a fine scooter, but lets face it, they both come out of China.... The lance has more torque and is faster , I guess from being a 150 and the Vino a 125 . And maybe the cam I'm no expert. One thing I can tell you right now is the Vino never gets ridden any more. And will probably be on ebay soon. I weigh 260 lbs and it pulls me up to 50 mph with no problem. And it still has more to go. It will probably got to 55 or 60 I'm sure. To me the Lance feels more stable. My wife is getting about 65 mpg with only 80 miles on it. When it gets broke in at about about 1000 miles I'm sure it will do better. Remember these are just my opinions. I purchased one of them to see if they were any good. I found I liked it then purchased the other one. We will see in 6 months if anything really bad goes wrong....Ed

Euromopeds.com includes pre-delivery inspection in the price of the scooter. This means that technicians at the Lance warehouse take the scooter out of the box, prep the battery, start the scooter, and check all wiring, nuts, bolts, etc.

This should alleviate the problems that have been previously encountered with the Lance Scooters.

In addition, Euromopeds is in the process of certifying technicians in major urban areas (such as Boston, New York, and Miami) to ensure that both warranty and repair jobs are easy for euromopeds customers.

No doubt the Lance Vintage 150 was purchased from a online drop-shipper.......all problems you read about is from folks doing business with internet purchases. Do business with a local shopkeeper who has the balls to look you in the eye if a problem arises . You know, someone who stocks scooters, parts and accessories. Also, with a shop offering mechanical service. Spending your hard earned money with some schmuck on the web who offers no after sale support is a waste of money....

Cool

Note to "Don't waste your money", the Seven principles of success are: Propper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance! You should have researched this "online" supplier before you made your purchase. I purchased my Lance Vintage 150 from a local dealer who had it all put together. I so far, have experienced none of the problems you are speaking of. So far, It's been a great riding experience. When you purchase from an online supplier, it's "buyer beware". There are good online suppliers and bad ones, sounds like you picked a bad one......Good Luck!

Unhappy

Another message to "don't waste your money", I just researched Scooter Factory. Looks like they are closing out the scooter inventory.....they have a Lance Vintage 150 "On Sale" for $2099.00, plus shipping I'm sure, I paid $1799.00 plus tax, but it came completely assembled and ready to ride. Research, my friend.......

Default Vintage 150

I bought a Lance Vintage 150 from Scooterfactory.com last Sept and I had major problems with it. The engine seized up with less than 50 miles on it. So, I contacted them and they never responded. Fortunately, I live 1 hour away from them and took it to them. They were happy to replace the motor (took a month) and were great about it. The only problems I have had since is the back brake is squishy. Other than that, I have loved the 1500 miles I have put on it so far. Not to mention, the gas mileage has been great too (roughly 70-75 mpg).

Cheap bike. Baby it and it will work great!
