I recently bought our Lance Vintage scooter online at scootersfactory.com, however they apparently are no longer in business. I'm told that Lance no longer sells their scooters online. I'm having starter problems and want to find out what manufacturer's warranty options I might have. I googled Lance, but only get dealers... who only want to service scooters that they have sold themselves, not anybody else's. Does anyone know how to contact the manufacturer, Lance?

Lance has a website that is called Lance Powersports. Their address in Ontario California is exactly the same as ScootersFactory. I have not been successful in getting Scooters Factory to return my email about parts for my Lance Vintage or in finding a telephone number for them which they have removed from their web site. Anyway, maybe you can find what you need on the Lance Powersports site.

goto Lance Powersports and find the nearest dealer near you. Call them and see if you can take it in for service. The dealer can get parts for you.

All I can say is, let the buyer beware. You shouldn't have bought a lance scooter. They are junk. Their company used to sell them under the names xxx-motorsports.com, and scootersfactory.com, but now you can't deal with them directly anymore. You HAVE to go through a dealer. I think the owner did that so he wouldn't have to deal with all the customer complaints about his shabby products anymore. Smart move on his part. It's not like they ever were really good on the customer focus though. It is a very mismanaged company.

the 909-987-8999 number works and if a consumer wants to talk with someone you hit x-105 and speak with Trinnie who works 9-5, M-F; according to her the DMV instructed Lance to stop aiding consumers because they don't have a dealers license; they only sell the bikes to dealers and you have to go through them. My dilemma is that I purchase a Lance Duke 250 from Motorcycle Gallery in Oceanside, CA last July. Since then they claim they are not a dealer in good standing and aren't required, nor will they, service these scooters anymore. They referred me to North County Yamaha in San Marcos that says they will only do warranty work on scooters that they sell. Trinnie disagrees with both dealerships but can only help me if one of them looks at the bike and tells her what parts they need. Stay tuned...

I got the manager of North County Yamaha on the phone and explained my dilemma with warranty service issues from both his shop, Motorcycle Gallery and Lance Powersports. His service manager called me back to say the owner of the shop said they would do the warranty work. Its a bummer it has to come down to several phone calls and getting the run around but persistence did pay off.

Since I purchased my lance duke touring last oct. it has been nothing but trouble the shop in town closed down the one out of town refuses to service it anymore so currently it is in Fresno and they are trying to feed me some bull shit bout how a new header might not be covered under warranty which is absolutely ridiculous cause its the only part of the scooter that has ever had a problem. Ive tried to contact lance or find a number for the warranty holder, if you know of such a number please post it, and if you dont have a Lance save yourself the trouble, im surprised it hasnt fallin apart on my in the road with all the screws it drops off.
