Driven 185 miles in 2 weeks, maxed speed at 65mph w/o windshield - w/ =70-75mph ? More stable/comfortable, even with Shoei full-face helmet TZ-R...
Replace the lousy, leaky fuel-filter between the fuel-tank and engine - LHS - will save you a headache ! Take your time removing the covers with a medium cross-screw driver... Love it - superb balance, smooth acceleration with all new stock CALIFORNIA CARB 150cc, 4-stroke 157QMJ-GY6 CVT. Mine's in electric-blue...with all-round discs and front ABS...Will replace spark with NGK Iridium CR7HIX + coil , and perhaps replace the airbox with an performance foam or upgrade the fan... ? |

My wife and I have been driving our silver Roketa MC-13-150 since the end of September (4 weeks). Good news: It rides comfortably at 60 mph and it has gotten 85 mpg after 3 refills. The gas tank holds 3.5 gallons. The console gauges are easy to read.
Bad news: The speedometer/odometers failed at 299 miles. Our dealer ordered warranty replacement parts (from China) which we can expect in 4-6 weeks. The cycle itself is heavy at 286 pounds, but manageable. Seat height is 30". Routine maintenance directions include a spark plug check but neglect to mention a rubber gasket on the spark plug which makes it very difficult to replace the spark plug wire. I removed the gasket, assuming that it was extra protection for overseas shipping. The directions mention an oil filter, but I could not find one. I used Castrol Syntec 10W-40. I have been using premium gas, but wonder if mid-grade would work as well. Biggest problem: My wife wants her own scooter. We are looking for something inexpensive with a seat height less than 30". Our biggest obstacle is that local dealers and mechanics say that inexpensive Chinese scooters have poor parts throughout and they do not want to service or sell them |
