Default owner of 250 cc purchased from XXX Motor Sports in California

I purchased a Roketa Bali 250 last year in April 17, 2007 and it stopped running April 30,2007 and has not run yet. I spoke with many individuals at the place including a supervisor named Greg he even provided me with his phone to contact him and he never returned phone calls or emails. I purchased a piece of junk from a company that does not abide by their warranty or their word, they all make false promises. I wasted $1900 do not buy from XXX Motor Sports or from ScootersFactory.com because they are one in the same company and they will sell you a scooter that overheats and does not run. You might as well ride down the street and roll down your window and throw $1900 out the window.

Hi, I also had a problem with my Roketa Bali 250. It would cut off at full throttle. A scooter freak friend of mine replaced with fuel injection hose 6 inches of fuel line that went from the tank to a diaphragm under the seat. He also replaced some of the vacuum hoses. something about them being to flimsy he said they collapsed on themselves as pressure increases. As you know, the Chinese use the cheapest material available and i guess they don't believe in quality control. Anyway be patient go through all the vacuum line one by one the slightest kink in any of them will make your scooter not run properly. also I don't let my fuel go below half a tank. This seams to have solved my problem. Hope it can help someone else. good luck.

I bought a Roketa Bali 250 MC-13. It would not run right it had a flat spot during ex would cut off. I removed everything down to the frame. What I found was a vacuum line at the carburetor about 3 in long. You can see it by looking down at the top of the carb. I removed that hose and plugged the vac port at carb not the dash pot and it runs perfect. I'm getting about 70 mpg and no other problems.

Exclamation buyer beware

I recently purchased a Roketa Bali 250 from a place in Nampa, ID and they also have a shop in Boise, ID called Select Auto & Cycle. The owner has done nothing but lie and avoid making things right. My scooter did it all right from the beginning. Blinkers didn't work, fuel gauge didn't work, temp gauge didn't work, bike did the puke and choke, constantly blew fuses, didn't charge, nor did the head lights work, and lets not forget the blue green sludge I found in the radiator. So people please stay away from these places because the owner has no problem doing to you as he has done to me.

County Motor sports doing business as Countyimports.com sold me a bike. It had so many issues, including electrical, and the exhaust keeps popping off because the studs fell out in the first 50 miles due to stripping. I rebolted it and it lasted 12 days, buyer be ware, check the BBB on all your purchases of Roketa from any dealer, one repair shop that refused to service my bike described them as "disposables."

Default Roketa mc-13-250 Electrical problems

My Roketa Bali just quit one day. Turn signals worked, horn worked but no starter
So I went down the list you know, fuses, checked switches, shorted the start solenoid and the starter cranked. Then I broke out the volt meter only had about 26 milivolts to the solenoid. I checked connectors as I traced the circuit and always 26 milivolts. Then when I started to unwrapped the wire harnesses and found crimp on splices all along harness. I found a loose wire just touching giving me the 26 milivolts. I also found a loose wire under the fuse box. If you are having electrical problems or, some time on you hands, take a good look at the harness and solder all of the connections and insulate every connection with electrical tape. I hope this helps.

Frank

Wink 2008 roketa stalling problem

O.K I just bought a 2008 Roketa Bali and after a day it wouldn't start. I jumped on here and read one of the comments about vac lines and also KEEPING A FULL TANK OF GAS!! This was the KEY answer! I kept disconnecting all of the vac lines thinking it had to be the problem because I had a 1/2 of tank. After hours then days I filled up the gas tank and it started on the first try! I don't know why it can not go past 1/2 of a tank but this was the problem all along! So thanks to the anonymous poster who suggested this! And anyone who is having this problem don't be stubborn like me. Fill up your gas tank you might be as lucky as I was.

Default Scooter Nitro's gain, my loss

07/18/2008 Purchased Machoman 260
Received Luxery 250, completely different specs, engine horsepower, weight capacity. I requested to send the proper bike paid for, and pick this one up. They would not do that, said I'd like the bike. Very unhappy...Joe called from Scooter Nitro, said to try it, I'd like it, credited my account $200 and sent me an email with a 5yr warranty. Joe said if I didn't like it to get back with him.
Day 1: Turn switch completely fell apart. Engine cooling fan didn't work, bike overheated. Odometer didn't work. Called Joe....more or less told my problem now. I took it too a bike shop, and they noticed the head lights didn't work, or tail lights as well. Then...lost power, or no power to start the bike. Bike shop had to jump start me to get the bike running...then died 2 miles down the road. Had to get a tow truck.
Scooter Nitro completely wasted my time, money, and no response. Joe said I'd be happy....but no Joe. Contacted the Better Business Bureau, Scooter Nitro says they would refund my money....right.
Stay away from Scooter Nitro, their false warranties....and Joe

Thumbs up roketa mc 13 250

We got our Roketa Bali in on monday of this week from evosales dot com. paid 1949.00 for it. It only took about 10 days for the scooter to get to georgia from texas. The packing was great no damage at all to the scooter. The only issue i had was there was no remote start or alarm as was advertised. When i called evosales they told me remote starters and alarms are no longer being installed due to problems that keep the bike from starting and running the battery down.

So far we have put 200 miles on it and have had only minor problems. The first one was a pin hole in a vacume line and a couple were lose. The scooter gets 76 mpg. It does seam to run a little ruff but im not sure how smooth it should run.

We will keep you posted on our new scooter.

Default Fuel starvation problems/vacumn problems/general chinease quality/shit

Yeah, i bought one too. I wished i hadnt. I have so far only ridden it twice ane the damn thing has given me problems every since. Im having all the same thoughts as to what it could be. Probably are all problems as you all have mentioned. Vacumn problems. Hell, im going to try one last thing after i have now replaced every stinking hose on this piece of shit. Im going to install a 12volt fuel pump. This has to solve the fuel problem at least. Who ever heard of "never let your fuel tank go below 1/2 a tank" ? I put a bulb on my fuel link supply and when it started stalling , i pumped it up. It ran great then. That tells me it must be a vacumn problem., and since i am tried of screwing around with this piece of shit, im installing the electric fuel pump. That should do the trick. Has anyone else done this ? Why havent you ?

Default Problems with my bali 250...

I have had it almost a week. The first couple times it started right up and seemed to run good. Yesterday morning it would not start, acted like it was not getting gas. I took off the intake pipe from the carb to the air cleaner sprayed some carb cleaner in the carb, then it started right up. Went for a ride four miles from home it died. Pushed it about 1/2 mile, then tried to start it and it started right up. For the rest of the day it started as soon as I tried it. Next day same thing it wont start. Is their a choke on this thing? I did find the gas filter installed backwards, and reversed it but it did not help. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up Roketa Bali 260cc :-/

Okay folks here we go I bought my Roketa Bali 250 in june 08, after it not wanting to start
from the get go...I finally got it going it kept frying batteries littery they would be dead after about a 45 minute ride. 1 time I had too push it 3 miles home another time afeter thinking I had all the bugs out took the wife for a ride got stuck a mile from home. she walked I pushed. The next day I called to talk to a Ricardo Supervisor? they had me on hold or finally hung up after 50 minutes. It took 2 weeks to get the proper letter to match the "pink" so I decided off to the bike shop. They gladly worked on it. okay ready all the wiring had to be redone, it was loose and fried lots of connections 5 hrs of shop time and I had to call and get a starter order 0 charge from motorsports but the bike sat while it took a month to get. the original fell apart in the mechanic hands as they were diagnosing. Another battery starter and labor 400.00 and I drove it home. so far so good but if I even give an iota of gas as its is started it died so I was losing interest. coudnt sleep last night so found this sight and after reading about the vacumm hose I went out for a look. Snakes ! there were so many hose that the crappy little clamps would not secure it.the more I fixed the better it began to Idle. open the door behind the carb where the plug access is and whala another one the size of my pinky was off. Getting better but a funny exhaust back pressure sound. So time to lay down and check the right side a large hose had burned in haf becuse of not securing right from factory fixed that and now im flush runs great but too much work extra money spent and time down to be happy. SO TAKE THE TIME TO CHK ALL CONNECTIONS< I used small flex ties to fix mine.. and that half of tank is a joke fix that im down to 1/4 and to not go below 1/2 I would call them and order a new gas sensor. I called and ordered new windshield, carburator, starter, 100.00 refund. Ill stay in touch and see how it does now because I have litterly fixed or had help on the entire bike. Get back to me if any questions good luck.

Talking get running roketa 250

on the carb under the seat, there is a hose that runs from front of carb to back of carb.
unplug from back of carb & plug hose (or remove hose & plug front port)
I got this info from someone else that now has 25k on their Roketa Bali 250. I didn't think
it could be that easy, but BINGO... runs like a champ now. good luck!

Default Bali 250

I removed the fuel filter all together, and it seemed to run good for about 70 miles. But now the same problem is back, Hard to start, dies miles from home.
I don't trust driving this thing. Someone said to by-pass the vacuum petcock?
I'm thinking it's a vacuum operated fuel pump, is this right? and could it be the problem. Also someone said he was going to install an electric fuel pump, anybody know who sells them? Once again thanks for your help. Bob K.

Thumbs down 2007 bali 250 Roketa

I bought a used 2007 Roketa Bali 250 and it seemed like a great deal and road nicely on the test drive, so I bought it. A day later on a longer ride than the first, the thing started overheating, I could smell something burning and the gauge was all the way to hot. I checked the oil and it was a bit down so I filled it up and put antifreeze in the plastic container. I then took it for another ride and although it took longer, it still reached the hot point on the gauge. Anybody have this problem? Any advise?

well i received me Roketa MC-54 250 and so far many probs. first it started over heating... my solution to that was that a hose fell off a nipple on the carb. bingo fixed my overheating issue. Next was the "running out of gas shenanigans." which it wasn't getting any fuel but had plenty in the tank. i think its a vacuum issue, so i replaced the cheap vacuum lines that came with it with some nice ones, but still same prob it will run about 1/2 mile then die. However i did take off the hose that was connected to the front and back of the carb and plugged the front and just left the back hole open. and it fired right up!!! amazing so anyway i havent tested it. and i dont know if theres going to be fuel coming out of the carb overflow. i would like to get it to run the right way.. i would really like to know why i cant get fuel to the carb using vacuum? any feedback? thanks in advance

as an update... i firmly believe that its now an electrical issue. when i pulled off the hose that fed the carb, it started it... OK so what i did was cut off the fuel supply and for some reason it started? didnt make sense.. anyway i checked the spark plug to see if it was sparking and it WASNT!! so now i think that its a loose wire next to or around the enricher thingy on the carb. because it randomly fires up when i play with some wires doesnt mean that my cdi unit is going bad does it?

Unhappy Rocketa MC 54 250

Please Excuse my ignorance but I dont know where the spark plugs are located? can any one educate me please? I am also having the problem where the bike wont start! I am at a loss when it comes to mechanics and wireing on this bike, but I am a quick learner and being on here and checking info online I have been learning so much. Can any one help me figure out the spark plugs? or any other reason why it doesnt start? I am thinking its the fuel to the carb issue but what do I know! Can any one help?

There's a fuse in the starter relay that could be blown. If the entire system is shut down (no lights or instruments), it could be that fuse. Its located above the exhaust pipe.
follow the red wire and you'll find it.

Smile Solved!

I came many times to this forum to check for updates. I had a thousand problems with my Roketa Bali 250cc and followed many of the tips posted here. My main problem was in the electrical conections. Those white little plugs that connect to each other are very cheap and badly mounted and as the bike vibrates they come loose. What I did was simply eliminate them and connect the wires directly. After opening everything down to the frame 4 times, we finally find the problem and now it is running all right.

Question victims friend

Al Smith was recently killed on a Roketa Macho Man. There were no witnesses to the accident. I have been reading the many complaints regarding this scooter, and it is a possibility the bike malfunctioned..... currently under investigation. Please comment on this site if you have any information regarding accidents due to malfunction of this scooter.

Well so far we have over 2500 miles on it and have had a few problems which are. 1. the gasket between the muffler and what looks to be the EGR valve had to be replace due to lose bolt. 2. same problem with the fuel that everyone is talking about with the 3 gallon plastic tank 1 gallon is reserve and when it get to the 1 gallon mark it starts cutting out and will shut off. a temp fix for this if you are out on the open road is first dont try to restart it untill you take the gas cap off and pressurize the tank. i know that sounds stupid but it does work for some reason. also if it happens while you are going down the road open the throttle wide open and most times it will pick up for me. But as you have been told by others dont let the fuel get that low. Another problem i have had was with the blinkers not working and working and not working...you get the picture. I did check the wires and fixed the splices that they made but this did not fix the problem what i did find was a small red wire was trying to back out of a connector in the front of the scooter where all the lights hook up. I fixed this and all my problems went away. The last thing that happend was the radio went nuts. When you turn it on it slowly fades to where you cant here it and will not change stations. (guess i should not have went for the ride in the rain) and i am trying to find out the cause of the problem now. We will keep you posted.
