Default Lost power in Roketa Fiji 150

Before winter the scooter ran fine. After we fired it up this spring we noticed the scooter had lost a significant amount of power. On a long straight away I am only able to get it up to 35mph. We thought it might be the gas so I filled it up with premium, but still no change. I check the oil level and air filter those seemed fine. I also checked the spark plug. It looked a little worn so I'm replacing it tonight.

Does anyone have any ideas on why the scooter would have lost so much power? Could it be a carburetor adjustment?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bret

You might want to try putting Seafoam or Lucas upper cylinder head lube in with your fuel as it sounds as if you may have a jet plugging up.Be sure and follow the directions as to how much to use.I hope this helps as it would be a cheap fix for you.

I had the same problem. The solution is you need to clean the carburator.Even though you probably took all the gas out before storage. There was a drain hose with a plug that is connected to lower part of the carburator that still had gas in it .If you didn't empty that gas .The gas fouls the carburator.I cleaned mine myself.I took out the storage compartment that is under the seat and cleaned the carburator and jets .Here is a video on how you can clean the carburator YouTube - STOCK 50CC SCOOTER CARB CLEANING #2

Thumbs up check the diaphragm

I had the same problem with my Roketa Aruba 150CC. After tearing down the carb, I saw a small tear in the diaphragm. I could not afford a new carb so I went on line and found out you could repair the thing with Gorilla Glue. Thats right Gorilla Glue! I tried it and it works! my scooter runs like brand new.

the theory is the diaphragm is made of Nitrile Rubber. Gorilla Glue is a Nitrile Rubber bonding Compound. it foams up just a little so use very little. You can always add more later. coat both sides of tear or hole. I spread around the entire rim where tears looked most likely.

Gorilla Glue will not fall apart or disperse in gas ether!
