Default used scooter

I just bought a Schwinn scooter & it came with a seat. I like the no-pollution aspect of scooters, but is there any way to make them go faster? I am 190 Lbs., so this might not be possible. I did find out that the law lists anything over 20 MPH as needing a license, so I figured it had a governor on there. I will just be using this to putt around my property & it won't even be on the road. Any help given is much appreciated.

Default ....

an electric scooter does not have a govenor like a gas scooter, modifying an electric scooter will not be easy, or as easy as a gas scooter... however...if you want more power and more top speed the the first thing to do is to buy a 1000 watt motor... for more torque. at one time i stumbled across a cool site but know i can't find it... there pretty simple. batt., motor, and then controller. but if you keep your electric scooter clean and not ride through mud like me then that should last you a while and will not lose it's speed

Talking found it

you can go to Superkids Online - Nintendo Wii, PS3, Schwinn Scooters, Izip Scooters, Mongoose, Currie Electric Scooters, Xbox 360! to buy parts. if it is a full supension scooter than you can buy a duel motor kit and make it go about 30 mph. or a single 1000 watt motor and make it go about 33 and you can always change the spokets. i found this because my 350 broke and needs some serious work.
