Default S500 won't run after battery charged

Hi,
My daughter has a Schwinn S-500. We let it sat for a year. We charged the battery and it ran for a minute or two and then stopped. We bought a new battery but it does the same thing. The power light will come on for a minute and then nothing happerns. Help if you can.

Unhappy Sccoter Won't Run After Chraging

My son has the Schwinn S-500 scooter, and let it sit over the winter without use. Now, it won't run after charging it. I don't know what the problem is, and the local cycle shop no longer works on these since they were discontinued. The repairman said these were so much trouble, they were not even worth fixing anymore. Anyone that can assist us would be very helpful.

Well, first you have to make sure you don't let it sit that long because the batteries will die. So... during winter if there is a lot of snow and it's not able to be ridden, just pick up the end and run the scooter for a good 5-10 minutes. It seems to me that either your batteries are gone or the control switch on the inside is busted. I change either once every 2 years or once a year. I've had this problem before and I bought a new control switch. So that might work just Google it there's a lot of answers there.
