Default New here - Just bought a ScooterX 500W hog

Will look forward to sharing and reading other's experiences with this one.

So far, it was shipped to us with a charger rated for for 160V - 240V input, we need a US 120V version and are waiting for that...

The unit also shipped with no instructions whatsoever...

How did this work out? Did the scooter perform alright?

Resolved the initial problem.
Turned out to be a battery wire that had slipped off during shipping. Connected it and the scooter worked.
Managed to get a whole 15 minutes of use out of it before it failed.
Popped it open and examined it - the electrical harness inside was fried due to cheap connectors that could not handle the current load.
Fixed that with better connections - only to find that the electronic throttle control is also fried, thus the on/off switch and throttle no longer work.

Made in China (go figure...)

After enough problems with this thing - We've finally decided we're going to take electric guts out and mount a small gas motor on the frame and use it as a gas powered scooter since the frame is decent and cool looking.

Meanwhile, gonna give the ol' TrailSport Buffalo a pull and go put-put around the block.

Happy scootin,
- Oren
